FAQ

Q What's a "Wordsmith"?

A A wordsmith is a skilled user or inventor of words. I have not yet invented any new words in common usage but I am skilled in the use of them.

Q Why do I need a wordsmith?

A The written word is one of the most powerful means of communicating your ideas. If you don't have the time or lack the confidence to better market your business, contact us today to see how we can help.

Q Spelling and grammar are so old fashioned. Why should I care about spelling when nobody else does?

A Writing is all about communicating ideas. Sometimes spelling and grammar do not matter, for example when texting your friends. However if you are trying to project a professional image to your customers, suppliers or bank manager, spelling and grammar can be critical in building and maintaining that image.
For example, imagine if you are looking at brochures to decide which car you would like to buy. Would you trust your money with the company that supplied a brochure full of spelling mistakes and bad grammar? Would you trust the reliability of the car if they couldn't get their spelling right?
Every day people make decisions sometimes not made on facts but on hunches and feelings. These feelings are often based on the image projected by a company rather than the actual performance. Bad spelling and grammar can affect these feelings far more than you may think.

Q What do you cost?

A Charges depend on the project. A short, one off project will be charged at a high rate but large projects and regular work like newsletters wlii be charged at a lower rate.
For editing and proof reading we charge $10.00 +GST for every 6 minutes so if it just requires a quick look over it won't cost you much at all.
